About

Tell your story through sound. Bring your scenes alive. A subtle touch of a violin string. A barrage of synths. The symphony orchestra. A soundtrack is limitless, held back only by your imagination.

Music can make or break a picture and a great composer will capture the essence of a scene with just a few notes. Chris knows how to tell a story through music. A born musician also known as Christian Davies, he has been writing, composing and producing to avoid getting a proper job for twenty years. A talented multi instrumentalist, Chris has worked across a wide range of genres as a writer, sound designer, producer, programmer and engineer. He is equally at home with an orchestra as he is with a Moog or granular sampler and strives to achieve the very highest of production values. Trust in a composer is paramount, both in music and delivery. (There's no use in a world-beating score delivered 3 months late.) Equally as important is the listening. Film, TV and modern digital media is a team effort, and a professional composer must listen to all the ideas and create a piece of audio that enhances the overarching vision of the project.

Story

Chris (also known as Christian Davies) has worked in the music industry for twenty years, and in his youth spent his years playing in bands, doing geeky things with samplers, and writing music for the sheer hell of it. He has played piano since age seven and was making drum kits from tin pots when he was just three. In the late 90s Chris found a passion for dance music and turned this passion into a career. Starting with a small bedroom studio and a couple of sound modules (no such thing as as DAWs then!) Chris worked tirelessly building up his music skills and studio and with a catalogue of 12" vinyl releases growing by the week, he was soon in demand as a remixer and engineer.

Telling stories with music is Chris's natural home, and the unlimited shapes of music and sound design when writing for picture are what drives him every single day.
